“Mirza Sahiban”, a Classic Legendary Romantic Tragedy, a Folk Tale, starring Noor Jehan and Trilok Kapoor (younger brother of Prithviraj Kapoor) was the fourth highest-grossing Indian film of 1947.

It was Noor Jehan’s last movie in India before she moved to Pakistan to settle in Lahore.

Though the movie, a Muslim Legend, was completed & passed by the censors in 1947, due to India/Pakistan Partition it was not released till 19th March 1948.

All the songs penned by Qamar Jalalabadi & Aziz Kashmiri and music composed by the 3 brothers, Pandit Amarnath, Husanlal & Bhagatram were super hit especially Haath Seene Pe Jo Rakh Do – Aaja Tujhe Afsana Judaai Ka & Kya Yehi Tera Pyar Tha.
