“Remembering our dad, K.Amarnath, today on his 111th Birth Anniversary”

It has now been over 12 years since I launched this website “https://k-amarnath-movie-producer-director.com” as a tribute to my Dad. I had meticulously gone through all his movies that were available, twice, and very often even three times. Whatever I knew about my father as a person was also exemplified in his movies, making my assumption of his views on family, patriotism, morals, ethics, honesty, bribery, black marketing etc., even stronger. Over the years, I have already written about these on this website.
Now, from ‘Another Perspective’, right from 1936 to 1971, my Dad, K.Amarnath, worked with some of the most beautiful and talented actresses of the Indian Film Industry (now known as Bollywood) and I am sharing a collage I have made of these actresses who worked with him in his capacity as a Director or Producer.
Since most of my Dad’s movies were in black & white, I have captured some screen shots and colourized the images to match with some of the original coloured photos that were available on the internet and the ones accessed from the archives in Pune, India.
Most of the actresses were already established stars when they acted in my Dad’s movies.
Some of them acted in one movie while quite a few acted in two or more as shown in the list below.
Madhubala, who is still considered to be one of the most beautiful and versatile actresses ever born, acted in two of his movies “Beqasoor” (1950) and “Kal Hamara Hai” (1959).
Actress Indurani, wife of the co-owner of Mohan Studios, Ramniklal Shah, acted in 5 of the movies directed by K.Amarnath.
Unfortunately no picture is available of K.T. Rukhmini who worked in 3 of the early 1937 & 1938 Tamil movies directed by K.Amarnath.
And a special mention to the prolific character actress, Lalita Pawar, who acted in one of the leading roles in “Captain Kishori” (1940). Check out her photo in the collage – she looked beautiful before her unfortunate accident on another movie set.

I wonder how many movie Directors or Producers have ever worked with so many incredibly beautiful and talented top heroines & actresses in their lifetime like my “Flamboyant” Dad did !!!
