Following in his Grandfather’s Footsteps
Inspired by Hollywood movies, my son, Alex, made a life-changing decision of quitting his job of 10 years to follow his interest in the movie-making business – very similar to the strong passion and fascination for Hollywood movies that made my father leave his home, 85 years ago, to seek fame & fortune in the fledgling Indian film industry.
Alex recently graduated in “Film Studies” from Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada.
Today, on my father’s 103rd Birth Anniversary, I would like to share with you, one of Alex’s school projects – A Short Documentary he filmed and edited on my father, ie, his grandfather, Hindi movie producer/director, K.Amarnath. It highlights various moments of my dad’s life and career along with montages from his movies.
